Affordable Housing Is About Dignity

A home isn’t a luxury. It’s security. It’s stability. It’s dignity.

Too many families in Schenectady are feeling the pressure of rising rents and shrinking options. Seniors worry about staying in the homes they’ve built their lives in. Young families wonder if they can afford to put down roots here at all.

That’s not the future we deserve.

Growth should lift people up — not push them out. Development should strengthen neighborhoods — not price them out. And City Hall should always put residents first.

Affordable housing isn’t just a talking point for me. It’s about protecting our neighbors, preserving our community, and making sure everyone has a fair shot at staying and thriving right here in Schenectady.

Because a strong city starts with stable homes.

Neighborhood Quality of Life

A great city isn’t built in headlines, it’s built on each block.

It’s streetlights that work. Roads that are safe. Parks that are clean. Neighborhoods that feel cared for.

When potholes sit for months or vacant properties drag down a street, people feel forgotten. And no one in Schenectady should ever feel forgotten.

Good government starts with getting the basics right… every street, every neighborhood, every time.

Transparent & Accessible Government

City Hall should never feel like a closed door.

You shouldn’t need connections, insiders, or influence to have your concerns heard. Government works best when it listens; really listens, to the people it serves.

I believe in open communication, real community input, and decisions made in the light of day. Because leadership isn’t about power, it’s about trust.

And trust is earned.

Public Safety & Community Trust

Safety isn’t political. It’s personal.

It’s the feeling you have walking home at night. It’s knowing your kids can play outside. It’s trusting that when you call for help, someone shows up.

Public safety means more than enforcement; it means prevention, partnership, and presence. It means supporting first responders while also investing in youth programs, mental health resources, and neighborhood engagement.

We can build safer streets without losing our sense of community. We can protect families while strengthening trust.

Every resident deserves to feel safe, not just in some neighborhoods, but in every neighborhood.

And that starts with leadership that listens, shows up, and takes action.

Youth & Workforce Opportunity

If our young people don’t see opportunity here, we lose more than talent, we lose our future.

Every child deserves a path forward. Every family deserves the chance to build stability. And every hardworking resident deserves access to real economic opportunity.

Investing in youth programs, job pathways, and local partnerships isn’t optional, it’s essential!

Because when our people succeed, our city succeeds.
