I’m running for City Council because I’ve spent my life serving this community, as an educator, a coach, and an advocate for young people and families—and I want to bring that same commitment to City Hall. When the council appointed me to fill this seat, it reinforced my belief that Schenectady deserves leaders who are focused on service, collaboration, and putting residents first.
Now I’m running to earn the voters’ trust and continue the work of making sure every neighborhood in Schenectady has a voice and a champion on the council.

My priorities are strengthening our neighborhoods, expanding opportunities for young people, and ensuring our city government works for everyone. As a teacher and mentor, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to invest in youth programs, education, and community resources that give young people positive pathways to succeed.
I’m also focused on improving quality-of-life issues for residents; things like housing stability, safe and clean neighborhoods, and making sure seniors and working families get the support they deserve.

Government works best when it listens. I believe councilmembers should be present in the community, attending neighborhood meetings, talking with residents, and making sure concerns are heard and addressed quickly.
My goal is to maintain open communication with residents, community organizations, and local leaders so that decisions at City Hall reflect the real needs of the people who live here.

What sets me apart is my deep roots in Schenectady and my lifelong commitment to service. I come from a long line of people in my family who have dedicated themselves to this community; many of whom were trailblazers and the first to step into roles that helped open doors for others. That legacy of service is something I carry with pride and responsibility.
As an educator, mentor, and now a member of the City Council, I bring that same spirit of leadership and community commitment to the work I do every day, listening to residents, working collaboratively, and making sure every neighborhood in Schenectady has someone fighting for them.
